Around the holidays we really crave these cookies! They really do melt in your mouth! They’re so pretty too! These are sooo simple to make. This recipe doesn’t make very many…..so if you’re taking to a party you might want to double the batch! You’re gonna love ’em!
- 1/2 lb. butter 2 sticks
- 3/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup White Kamut flour
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- less than a 1/3 cup of milk
- this makes a lot of frosting so if making a single batch....cut the recipe in half
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
In the bowl of an electric mixer, cream together the butter, cornstarch, and powdered sugar. Add the vanilla, salt, and flour. Mix well.
Take a teaspoon size (or less) of dough and place on a prepared cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 min. *If you like a softer cookie bake 8-9 min.
When completely cooled frost.
To make frosting:
Cream the butter in the bowl of an electric mixer, then add the powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk.
