OK OK I know what you are thinking…. I have a scotcharoo recipe. That’s what we said until our sister-in-law Shana insisted on bringing her version of O’HENRY BARS!! Now at most summer time parties we beg her to make them! They will feed a crowd. You will either thank us or hate us.. Trust us… you need to prepare yourself for a very happy belly ache! Be patient and let the chips on top just melt right in!! No need for microwaving. Make sure you’re signed up for a dessert for your next party invite!
O'HENRY SCOTCHAROOS BARS
- 2 CUPS SUGAR
- 2 CUPS KARO SYRUP
- 2 CUPS PEANUT BUTTER
- 10 CUPS RICE KRISPIES
- 12 OZ. SEMI SWEET CHOCOLATE CHIPS
- 12 OZ. BUTTERSCOTCH CHIPS
Spray a cookie sheet with non-stick cooking spray. In a medium size saucepan oven medium heat gently boil the sugar and karo syrup. Once it comes to a boil remove from heat. Quickly add the peanut butter. Fold in the rice krispies. Immediately pour onto cookies sheet and sprinkle all the chips evenly over the top. The chips will slowly melt and you can spread with a knife. Eat warm or cold!
