PEANUT BUTTER BARS WITH CHOCOLATE BUTTER CREAM FROSTING

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
  • 1 1/2 cups butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons French salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon soda
  • 3 cups White Kamut flour
  • 3 cups regular oatmeal
  • 3 1/4 vanilla teaspoons

FROSTING

  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 Tablespoons heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Cream together the following ingredient
  2. Add 4 large eggs - mix
  3. Combine in a separate bowl
  4. Add dry ingredients to wet
  5. Stir in 3 1/4 vanilla teaspoons and mix well
  6. Press dough into a 17 1/2 x 13 inch baking sheet with fingers
  7. Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Do not over-bake. When done frost with Chocolate Butter frosting.

FROSTING

  1. Mix the butter, vanilla, and powdered sugar.
  2. Melt the chocolate in the cream.
  3. Add the chocolate mixture to the butter mixture and beat until fluffy.
  4. Spread on top of Peanut Butter Cookies.
